Many early-childcare and education centers must require parents to purchase their own blankets and books in order to cut costs, which can present a challenge to families who already face budget constraints. United 4 Children, a partnership between the Child Day Care Association and St. Louis for Kids, launched the toddler-naptime campaign to promote healthful sleep habits and early-childhood literacy by providing independent childcare programs with the necessary supplies for naptime.
Available through the Child Day Care Association's library for childcare centers, a toddler-naptime package includes a cot, child's blanket, and an educational book to help provide a clean, cozy naptime. The children can also take the books home to read before bedtime.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help provide naptime supplies for children at childcare centers. If G-Team members raise $300, then United 4 Children can supply six toddler-naptime packages at one of its independent childcare centers. Each toddler-naptime package includes one sleeping cot, a child-size blanket, and a book from United 4 Children's Early Childhood Lending Library. Each additional $50 raised will be used to buy another toddler-naptime package.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
