A collection of white-topped tables welcomes guests to Guadalajara Cafe, where a menu waits with authentic Mexican dishes of pollo, carne asada, peppers, tacos, and more. Diners start their stomachs humming with the café's selection of entremeses (small dishes), including a pair of tamales ($4.50), otherwise known as pork sleeping bags, or the Cheese Crispy, a flour tortilla plastered with melted cheese ($3.75). About Guadalajara Cafe
Guadalajara Cafe shies away from the Tex-Mex standards found at typical Mexican restaurants in favor of the authentic flavors and spices you’d expect to find simmering in a family cocina. Its chefs attended culinary training in Guadalajara, where they developed a special appreciation for the cuisine of Jalisco, a region that extends from central Mexico to the Pacific coast.
