The menu includes mechada arepas filled with shredded beef, black beans, and spicy red sauce ($4.10); fish arepas made with braised tilapia, baked plantains, caramelized onions, and cilantro sauce ($4.45); and vegetarian arepas with black beans, coleslaw, caramelized onions, and Guasaca sauce ($3.90).
The menu at Guasaca focuses on the star of Venezuelan cuisine: the arepa. At the fast, casual spot, cooks make the round cornmeal pockets from scratch, and stuff them with meats, veggies and sauces. They also serve bowls and salads made with the various meats, rice, lettuce, veggies and sauces, including the Guasaca mix. Visitors can eat in the new location's colorful dining room or relax beneath an umbrella on the brick-lined patio.
