What You'll Get
Mood rings offer convenient color-coded glimpses into our emotional state: red indicates stress; yellow suggests blinding rage; and green means rich in vitamins, cellulose, and fiber. Get in the mood for healthy, flavorful cuisine with today’s Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of all-organic fare at GustOrganics, located on Sixth Avenue near 14th Street.
As the first USDA-certified organic restaurant in New York, GustOrganics offers an enormous menu of snacks, entrees, drinks, and baby meals, each packed with all-natural ingredients. Vegans and omnivores alike can shovel down the strawberry salad ($9), with a mixture of roasted pine nuts, pears, and fresh spinach. And the humita empanada ($5), stuffed with corn, salsa blanca, and oregano, is well suited to herbivores. Quell hunger after a long day of ruling Sweden with an iron snowshoe with the grilled thin-crust Napolitana pizza ($14), made with natural homemade dough. GustOrganics' all-organic bar offers sippable sweets such as the dulce de leche martini ($12) and the rum-and-lemonade frescura ($12). From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the café offers baby meals for little bundles of mild contentment, with organic fare such as tenderloin-beef puree or macaroni with spinach and parmesan ready for infant consumption.
In addition to the eco-friendly food, GustOrganics implements a myriad of sustainable practices, such as using only wind energy, printing its materials with soy ink, and handing out biodegradable takeout containers. Settle into the restaurant's sky-lit storefront, which was constructed with recycled wood and eco-friendly products, and consume a tasty all-organic meal that’s preferable to consuming plate after plate of dirt-flavored daffodils with today's Groupon to GustOrganics.
Valid for dine-in only.
GustOrganics was mentioned in Kiwi magazine as the first eatery in New York to be certified organic. It was also featured in the New York Daily News for catering to the toothless with gourmet organic baby food. Yelpers give GustOrganics a 3.5-star average:
- Pureed mango-carrot-apple mixes and a chicken medley smooth as soup top the menu at GustOrganics in Greenwich Village alongside gourmet goodies for adults. – Kathleen Lucadamo, New York Daily News
- The staff was very friendly and attentive. That, along with the very pleasant, somewhat rustic atmosphere made it a place I will go to again. – Suncear S., Yelp

As some of the leading voices in New York's organic food scene, the team at GustOrganics is in the business of blazing trails. In the past, that meant leading the way on emerging food trends, including the gluten-free movement and the embrace of farm-to-table distribution. Today, they're leading the way again; recently, the team revamped their entire menu, moving from meat-based Paleo entrees to 100% plant-based dishes. Locally sourced from organic farms, the new dishes are better for the health of diners and the earth alike. They're also flavorful; bites of mango samosas and wild mushroom ravioli burst with fresh tastes inspired by global culinary traditions. The new menu also preserves GustOrganics' dedication to dietary health, with a wide variety of gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, and raw items made with seasonal ingredients.
