Considered one of the world's best flamenco dancers -- The New York Times called him "one of the greatest flamenco dancers of this new century" -- Farruquito was raised on the stage as part of Spain's Los Farruco dynasty, making his Broadway debut at age 5. His show Improvisao is flamenco in its purest form -- authentic, impassioned and created in the moment. In flamenco puro, singers, guitarists and dancers all play off each other, finding inspiration in their collaborators and the audience to create their performances on the fly. In Improvisao, Farruquito sets out to put on a show worthy of his grandfather, the legendary El Farruco. Get swept up in the infectious flamenco spirit during George Washington University's Flamenco Festival at Lisner Auditorium.
