Private-pilot courses are held rain or shine.
Chicagoland Aviation sweeps land-bound students up into the firmament with introductory flying lessons and in-depth pilot training. The private-pilot 101 course begins with a two-hour classroom session, providing an overview of pilot training and tips on how to earn a pilot certificate quickly. During a second session, to be scheduled on a separate date, aspiring aerialists then conduct a hands-on inspection of an airplane to ensure that the wheels, engines, and wings are free of debris and cloud shards. After sprinting down the runway, students can steer their planes for 30 minutes over vast farm landscapes and through low-lying cloud banks under the guidance of an FAA-certified flight instructor. During the two-person learning session, pilots-in-training can spread their metal wings for 30 minutes of continuous flight time as a friend or doppelgänger straps into the passenger seat.
After successfully landing, students receive a training-session flight certificate that counts toward the prerequisites of a private-pilot certificate and can also be used as a valid passport. Groupon customers can also receive 10% off in the pilot supplies and memorabilia store and can purchase a DVD of their flight with a mapped route of their flight path.

About Chicagoland Aviation
Matt Zahora earned his first airline pilot's seat at the tender young age of 19, his lifetime of practice flying giving him the skill to navigate an aircraft even before he earned his degree in Aviation Management. With over 5,000 hours of flight experience in dozens of types of aircrafts under his belt, he decided it was time to open his own business, Chicagoland Aviation. Drawing on his wealth of knowledge, he helps groundlings become pilots and pilots to purchase their first aircraft.
