Early man made many attempts at flying, from sewing feathers onto his forearms to scaling mountains in order to cling to the underbellies of passerby comets. Fly the new-fashioned way with today's Groupon: for $125, you get a one-hour hot air balloon ride and champagne toast from Morning Star Balloons (a $200 value).

Morning Star Balloons ushers cloud hunters toward their quarry, navigating the skies while guests float high above Utah's pristine mountainscape. After gazing into the roar of the propane burner during a 15–20-minute inflation period, guests eagerly clamber into the basket for an approximately one-hour ride. An FAA-certified pilot chauffeurs up to 12 gondola cowboys to elevations around 500 feet–1,500 feet, where guests can soak up gentle breezes and unfettered views of the land below.

Explorers celebrate their maiden voyage with a complimentary champagne toast (nonalcoholic drinks are available) immediately following the landing. Along with roundtrip transportation to the launch and landing sites, sky surfers receive a first-flight certificate of ascension and free digital photograph to prove they're not afraid of heights or romance.

Morning Star Balloons

Morning Star Balloons ushers cloud hunters toward their quarry, navigating the skies as transfixed guests float high above Utah's pristine mountainscape. The seasoned, FAA-certified pilots employ experience flying military jets, winning numerous hot air balloon competitions, and establishing dominance over out-of-control umbrellas as they confidently steer the colorful vessels to heights of between 500–1,500 feet. Groups of up to 12 soar above Park City’s lush landscape and during early-morning flights, with a complimentary champagne or nonalcoholic toast welcoming passengers back to solid ground. Despite its burgeoning fame through the TV shows The Amazing Race and Nitro Circus, Morning Star Balloons keeps a level head as it donates its services to local schools and charities.
