Gymboree offers a bevy of baby-engaging classes in which parents and wee ones work together to build tots' creativity and encourage development through play. Weekly classes are available for every age from the freshly born sapling to the 5-years-young wise wanderer. This deal includes rhythm-building music classes, imagination-expanding art classes, fitness-gaining sports classes, and Gymboree's most popular class, Play & Learn. The one-month membership allows you to take one class per week, with make-ups available during enrollment if you miss a class. This deal also includes unlimited attendance during Gymboree's open gym hours. These times—set aside for autonomous, parent-child exploration of the cushy and curious corners of the gym—are scheduled at various times throughout the week (see the schedules online for Ballard, Bellevue Square, and Redmond for more details).
One Groupon must be purchased for each child, and each child must be accompanied by at least one adult (but more than one adult is welcome). The 45-minute classes help to build an everlasting bond that will feel like being tethered to each other with Ethernet cable. Reviews
Five Seattle Yelpers give Gymboree Play & Music an average rating of 4.5 stars, and five lilaguide reviewers give the Redmond location 3.5 stars:
- The classes are an hour long and change format every week. So one week they could be doing sliding activities and another would be working as teams. It keeps it interesting and fun for the kids. The play space is big and very safe. And they are very cleanly about their toys, which is appreciated. – Sarah B., Yelp
- Gymboree will guide you and your child through song, activity and play. It is a bright, clean, place and a nice routine of activity each week makes this manageable for very little ones. – One mom, 2/4/2005, lilaguide

About Gymboree Play & Music
When Joan Barnes founded Gymboree Play & Music in 1976, she envisioned a facility where parents and children could play together in a safe and age-appropriate environment. In the following decades, Gymboree Play & Music spread to more than 30 countries across the globe, helping youngsters from infants to 5 years old develop cognitive, physical, and social skills. The company's instructors lead classes such as Play & Learn, its flagship course, in which parents and kids move through a seven-level program filled with storytelling, play activities, and debates on the merits of sandwich crust. Talented staffers also prep youngsters for school and foster development in areas such as music, art, and sports. Throughout all classes, they make use of custom play equipment designed by acclaimed playground designer and seesaw-tamer Jay Beck.:m]]
