Gypsy's Sports Grille
At the age of 7, Cheryl discovered a passion for serving her parents, grandparents, and their friends during get-togethers. So it was no surprise when she worked her way up the food-industry chain until she hit the top, opening Gypsy's Sports Grille with her husband Tracy. The couple’s restaurant is named after their four-legged child, a rescued boston terrier that came to them with the name Miss Gypsy. Popular items on the menu—denoted with a picture of Miss Gypsy—include a fried-pork-tenderloin sandwich flavored with house seasoning, and grilled chicken breast slathered with a housemade Old Forester–bourbon glaze. The restaurant also pays homage to the beloved pup by supporting no-kill animal shelters and boston-terrier rescues in the hopes of saving dogs in need and encouraging them to franchise their own restaurants.
