Vessels pass San Diego Bay sights such as the Coronado Bridge, the U.S. Naval Fleet, the Spanish Lighthouse on Point Loma, and resident marine wildlife on their trek to watch the offshore migration of the California Gray Whale. The three-hour voyages run from mid-December through April and depart at 9 a.m. daily.
Prices vary by age and day of the week.
Experienced crews at H&M Landing, San Diego's oldest whale watching company, have been leading whale-watching trips since 1953. Vessels float past the Pacific Gray Whale's offshore migration to warmer waters during the winter. Experienced naturalists narrate each tour and identify various sights on each tour, such as the sea lions and dolphin that gambol in both national and international waters, depending on the status of their travel visas.
