About Habbouz Tunisian Cuisine
Before Habbouz Tunisian Cuisine opened its doors, Tunisian food was nowhere to be found in the Great Valley area. But now, folks can get their fill of authentic North African eats, including couscous lamb, chicken shawarma, and mansif, a dish of lamb, rice, and yogurt that feeds up to four. Many of Habbouz's dishes are centered around merguez, a sausage that the kitchen makes from scratch. It's featured in the ajja merguez—along with spicy harissa, just-cooked eggs, and green peppers—and the kefteji plate, which is served over french fries and slata mechouiya, a salad made from hot peppers and tomatoes. Still not sure what to order? Don't worry: the hospitable chef-owner is always happy to provide recommendations.
