Q:

How long does it take for the skin to recover (for upper eyellids)? Any skin care required? Does it effect the eyelashes?

Rachel C.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

At first the pigment will appear too dark. There is an exfoliative process during the healing that allows for the surface layer of color to “peel” after 4-7 days. Once completely healed, you are actually viewing the color through the skin, not on the surface as with traditional cosmetics. You can expect that it will “heal, peel and fade” after about one week. The color is usually about 30-40% lighter when healed than it appears the day of the procedure. If the color looks perfect immediately after the procedure, it would be much too light when healed. We will provide after care instructions. it doesn't effect the eyelashes.

Q:

Hi, I'm very interested in the offer for permanant makeup, however, the website has no before/after photos or any portfolio of work completed. Permanent makeup takes a very skilled hand and I am hesitant to purchase without seeing work. Is there a portfolio online of any work that Kimberly Morgiuchi has done? Thanks!

Q:

How is permanent make up applied? Is it a tattoo? Is it permanent marker? How long does it last? Is it 50 years permanent or does it need touch ups; does it fade? Are their any health risks or side effects? I have sensitive skin. It sounds interesting. I just need some more information. Thanks.

Elisa M.  asked on  Feb 1, 2013

A:

Color is placed under the skin with a specialized machine designed for the delicate thin skin of the face.

Permanent make up will last longer depending on where it is placed. Eyeliner typically lasts for many years.

Eyebrows will be soften the color very slowly over several years.

Lips color also fades after a few years as lips are used the most during eating, wiping, kissing etc. Eyebrows and lips are suggested to get a a minor touch-up every 2 to 5 years.

There have been no major side effects or health risks reported.

They offer a free consultation before your procedure and frequently treat patients with sensitive skin.
