About Half Full Brewery

The blonde and pale ale hybrid known as Bright Ale tastes just like inspiration. Okay, to most people it tastes like an approachable craft beer with citrus and fruity notes, which Stamford Magazine lauds as "easy to drink." But to Conor Horrigan, the beer embodies the moment he got the bright idea to leave his job as a banker and open up a brewery. Four years later, and Half Full Brewery poured its first beers at three local spots.

“We brew some of the most complex but approachable beers,” Horrigan told Connecticut Magazine. That includes the Bright Ale and three other year round brews: their Pursuit IPA, their Toasted Amber, and Onward APA. The brewers also create seasonal beers, limited release, and one-off batches.

These creations may have started taking over Connecticut vendors, but there are still ample reasons to stop by the brewery in person. For one, visitors can tour the facilities, sample the different brews, and—depending on the day—take part in activities such as corn hole or giant Jenga, which thankfully does not involve stacking giants on top of one another.
