What You'll Get
Learning a new craft creates a sense of accomplishment, which increases self-confidence and makes you want to run for mayor: for $45, today's Groupon gets you and a friend a 2.5-hour craft crash course of your choice at Hands-on 3rd (a $98 value). Hands-on 3rd is a craft studio offering a variety of workshops, as well as private and semiprivate lessons (nearby animals are allowed to watch through the windows).
Your class can be in the craft of your choice, provided it is a crash course. A full schedule can be viewed on the website (crash courses are highlighted in green)—though additional classes will be added to meet demand as needed (minimum four students required per class). Master the basics of knitting, learn to crochet, build a terrarium, or take a sewing course in which you’ll learn machine-stitch technique and make your own zipper coin purse for your collection of Pogs.
Depending upon which class you choose to take, materials and starter kits will either be provided for you or available for purchase, unless you have items you'd like to bring from home to add to your craft (such as in the jewelry-making class). As insinuated by the name of the business, Hands-on features an approach to crafting that involves hands and sends you home with actual skills in your hands. Call to schedule your class.
- easy handbag or apron classes provide project right-away gratification. a free tea bar, tiny reference library, community announcement board, and casual workspace makes you feel right at home. – juli b

- Not only is this place cozy, warm and friendly, but the crash courses are really such a fabulous idea, I think they might be my newest addiction. I just finished with the 2-part mosaic Crash Course taught by Kyle... what freakin fun! – Sheridan S., Yelp
