It’s ideal for kids probably 10 and under. The stations weren’t kept in order and things were everywhere and some things weren’t working properly or at all. The place is a way smaller version of the hands on museum in Philadelphia but my 2 year olds didn’t care about that all it was just right for them. Plus they had the outside play area which is a plus but again things were broken. Overall good!

It’s a cute place. Nice people but it’s a bit run down and not the cleanest. My 1 and 3 year old had fun but not sure we’d make the trip to return.

This was a hit with my 5 year old, just the right age to partake in all that this place has to offer. Good for an overcast/rainy day for 2 or 3 hours then grab lunch somewhere with your kids.

About Hands-on House

Fun is the foundation at Hands-On House, where interactive entertainment and experience has been fostering growth and development for children for over 30 years. Kids and adults navigate through the nonprofit kids' museum hand-in-hand as they explore, move, and learn together throughout the various exhibits. Below are a few exhibits at Hands-On House:

  • Right in Your Own Backyard: A bee's honeycomb sits beside a treehouse, where kids can climb through the branches or experience life as a bee in its natural habitat.
  • Little Valley Farm: Agriculture goes hand-in-hand with adventure at the farm exhibit, where guests can spend the day collecting eggs, counting their hatch, or tracking terrain on the big blue tractor.
  • The Corner Grocery: Walls lined with plastic fruits and vegetables, cartons of milk, and shelves of poultry guide kids as they navigate through shopping lists and grocery carts during dramatic play at the museum's grocery store replica.
