Q:

How much is the average cost for the lens? And how much for the frame? Basically can I get the lens and glasses and not pay anything extra?

M D.  asked on  Jul 31, 2012

A:

hi M D, on the groupon it states in fine print that there are a selection of frames in store that go for $199. there are also a selection of frames that cost $199 and that price includes the lens. in other words yes you can get frames and lenses without paying anything extra so long as you stay within the selection

A:

If we do not require an eye exam and just need to come in for the frames and frame lens, is our stipend for this still only 200 dollars? Can we add the price of the exam we would not be getting onto the purchase price of the glasses?

Can I skip the eye exam and buy frames with prescription lenses for a friend within the $200 price?

Hafsa M.  asked on  Aug 2, 2012

A:

hi hafsa, this is a little more complex than you make it seem. you can use the groupon to buy glasses for someone else within the $200 price range as long as you stay within the selection frames; however, the person needs to be with you in order for the sales associate to take the proper measurements required

Q:

If we choose to pay the additional $49 for a contact exam, is that price regardless of whether or not there is astigmatism in the eyes?

Aaron G.  asked on  Aug 1, 2012

A:

hi aaron, yes that price is for the exam for contact lenses regardless of whether or not you have astigmatism. the price of the contacts is not included in the $49. if you have a high astigmatism you may need contacts that correct for that which may cost more than the regular contacts.

Do you have an updated phone number? When I tried calling, it said it was out of service. Also, do you sell/prescribe PureVision Toric Contact Lenses For Astigmatism? I'm interested in these specific lenses. Thanks!

Thao N.  asked on  Jul 31, 2012

A:

hi thao, our phone number is 212-217-1600. it has been really busy with the phone calls since the groupon came out so you may have to try a couple of times before you get through. our doctor fits you with the contacts that he heels are the healthiest for your eyes but we could order those lenses for you. keep in mind however that the contact lens exam is an additional $49 and the $200 allowance for glasses cannot be transferred over to contacts
