Happy Hour Paints
Throughout Sacramento's local pubs and restaurants, the sounds of clinking glasses and laughter can be heard. This may sound commonplace, but add painting instruction into the mix and you have Happy Hour Paints. As students sip libations and chow down, experienced local artists guide them in painting their own masterpieces. Each class focuses on its own subject, from concrete creations such as fall leaves and the state capitol to more abstract concepts, such as "Woodstock Bound." The artists supply all the necessary paints and supplies, requiring their students to simply arrive with creative minds and hearty appetites. Throughout the typically 2- to 2.5-hour sessions, the instructors divulge techniques for mixing colors and applying brushstrokes.

“I had a great time! The staff was fun and helpful. I didn't think that I would do a "decent" job at this, but it turned out pretty good. Great for girls night out!”
“I think the painting time should be extended by at least 30 minutes. Otherwise it was very fun and an experience if like to take on again very soon! ”
“Fun, fun, fun!!!”
