Hard Knocks equips sharpshooters with locations to roll through and infrared-light ammunition, allowing civilians to simulate combat or missions in a safe arena with greater realism but less pain than airsoft or paintball. Fingers pull the triggers on 10 different military-grade weapons, propelling harmless rays that demolish teams built on trust falls and build up supergroups forever linked by the trials of fake war. Feet scamper through three different arenas, jumping over the crates and barrels in the warehouse setting or hopping around office obstacles including cubicles and suddenly sentient water coolers.
In addition to combat, players may opt to take on missions to defuse bombs, rescue hostages, or infiltrate clandestine societies of stamp collectors. Membership extends one year of access to all combat equipment and arenas, and members pay only for the amount of time used in combat play and at Hard Knocks' more than 20 gaming stations equipped with Xbox 360s, Wiis, and PS3s.

About Hard Knocks - Orlando/Oviedo
Players exchange infrared beams from a roster of replica guns, each designed to emulate real military weaponry in size, weight, and operation. Each gun blasts targets in limited rounds using eye-safe infrared light, a technology adapted from military combat simulations. Players test their marksmanship in 75 realistic laser-tag missions, some of which require them to practice espionage, defuse bombs, protect and rescue hostages, or chase squirrels out of their front yards. When not exchanging beams of light, players can enjoy a snack or drink at the cafe.
