American dance-pop and hip-hop group C+C Music Factory has earned a total of 35 music awards, including five Billboard Awards, five American Music Awards, and two MTV Video Music Awards. They will perform with Freedom Williams, who rapped on some of C+C Music Factory’s biggest hits, including the ’90s smash hit “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).”
Joining them will be Rob Base and Felicia Punzo. Rob is known for the multiplatinum 1988 hip-hop classic “It Takes Two,” which he made with his music partner, the late DJ E-Z Rock. Felicia Punzo recorded her hit song “Angel” in 2007. In 2008, her “Felicia” dance EP won a RadioIndy.com Grindie Award.
On Saturday, country music group Philbilly will get feet stomping with their unique takes on such songs as Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball,” Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman,” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
They will share the stage with Sara Spicer, who opened for Tanya Tucker as a 12-year-old and who has played at Philadelphia Soul Arena Football League games and Yachtstock RiverJam. In June 2014, Sara and her band were joined by Audra McLaughlin at Yachtstock RiverJam. Audra was a contestant on season six of The Voice and made it all the way to the quarterfinals. She will also appear at Harrah’s Philly.
