We got a flat tire when the ride first started had to wait 40 minutes for someone to come and fix it then did not receive the hour ride because driver had to go to trivia for money. It would be great if the buggy were done over and maintained.

Through scenic parks, amid historic architecture, or between genial pubs, guests can tour Harrisburg aboard eco-friendly bike taxis

About Harrisburg Bike Taxi

All across the city, Harrisburg Bike Taxi's pedicabs cruise up and down the streets, carting passengers from point A to B or showing them a leisurely tour of the town's best pubs and historic spots. Scenic tours may take lounging travelers along the waterfront to view seagulls in their natural habitat, playing chess in the park. Harrisburg residents, visitors, and forgetful history professors alike can learn about the city by employing the human-powered cabs to transport them from the Capitol building to the State Museum during Capital tours, which are filled with insightful anecdotes about the city's grandeur. Those looking for a less structured good time can jump in for a pub-crawl tour, visiting a variety of themed spots including Irish pubs, sport bars, and dance clubs.

It was a history of our driver Not a history of Harrisburg except for the bar and restaurant reviews that he frequented

The actual bike tour was good and the guides were pleasant and knew the area well. They also took precaution in driving us through the area. We have bought many Groupons in the past and have never had a problem with the vendor excepting the payment they were asking and like all service related adventures, we always tip. The problem with this experience was not the actual experience of the ride and the guides, but rather the guides reaction and the owner of the company. We each paid 25.00 for the ride that lasted an hour (there was a 2 day special that Groupon offered for a little extra amount off). Either way we felt this was a far price to pay for the tour. At the end of our trip, we gave each driver a $5.00 tip. The main driver said that the fee was 20.00 We showed him our Groupons that we had indeed already paid. It was very odd, the drivers didn't seem to understand the Groupon. He said thank you and that they would contact the owner. We got a text from the owner asking if the service was not good or if the drivers did anything wrong. That they work only for tips. By then we were already on our way out of the area and explained we assumed the owner was sharing some of the Groupon we paid with the drivers. He then wrote us a slightly insulting long text in which we did not reply. As mentioned earlier, we have purchased many groupons in the past and have never been asked to pay more for a service than the amount we paid. We felt bad for the drivers as they did there job. It still does not make since to me that they would be asking for an additional 20.00 for a service we already paid. The idea of a Groupon is to help the vender/owner get the name of their business out, supplement sales and generate new business. Paying 25.00 or half off and the owner expecting us to pay another 20.00 is just bad business. Retail 101. You can't advertise 50% Off and expect the consumer to pay more when you arrive at the store. At the end, I felt the owner is misleading the consumer, his drivers, and does not understand the nature of a Groupon. Suggestion for the owner. Charge enough to pay for your drivers + tip and take a small amount for yourself. And Never, Never insult your customers as you did us. One bad Groupon will not stop us from buying Groupons in the future, but certainly make us more aware of the folks who don't understand the value they are offering their customers.
