HI Elena, You would need to buy the Groupon for two people.

Q:

I know it's been asked in a different form, but could you please clarify which days of week this tour is offered and which days it isn't?

Elena P.  asked on  May 4, 2012

A:

Hi Elena, Our guides are flexible in their schedules. We prefer to book people on weekends but we can offer you any day of the week, assuming that week isn't already booked up for 5 of the days. The sooner you book, the more likely we will be able to offer you the day you are requesting.

Q:

What are the tour times?? I'm going to be in Harrison this w'end for a retreat. Website says you close at 1:00 Sunday, but that's when I would like to go. I've tried calling...

Nancy M.  asked on  May 3, 2012

A:

HI Nancy, Our season is just getting started so we are only open 1pm-5pm during the week and 9-3pm on weekends. We are likely adding a tour on Sunday, I will be able to confirm this on Saturday morning if you'd like to come into our office.

Q:

The company web site lists this route as a 3.5 - 4 hour tour yet this deal is for 2 hours with the route being the same. What is the difference between the standard 4 hour and 2 hour Groupon package?

 asked on  May 3, 2012

A:

HI Wanda, The route is different between our 4 hour kayak tour and this tour. The 4 hour paddles the entire length of the Harrison river with a return trip by Van back to Harrison. This two hour tour paddles partway down the Harrison River and you must paddle back again to Harrison. It is designed to be an introductory to the Harrison River.

Q:

Is there a weight restriction on the kayaks? Thanks!

Mairi C.  asked on  May 3, 2012

A:

Hi Mairi, There isn't necessarily a weight restriction, you just need to be able to fit into a kayak! Some of our larger guests can only fit into our double kayak because they are open; the singles have smaller cockpits.

Q:

1. Are these one- or two-person kayaks? 2. Do you need kayaking experience to go on the tour? 3. If weather is not co-operating for the day reserved, will money be refunded? A group of us are heading up to Harrison on the weekend of July 13-15 and we would be interested in the private tour. If the weather is not good, we most likely can't make it back to Harrison again to redeem the groupon. 4. Any age requirements?

Colby  asked on  May 3, 2012

A:

I would recommend the child be 13 years or older. We kayak rain or shine so a refund would not be given if it was raining on the date you decided to go in July. You do not need kayaking experience, you just need to be physically fit and able to kayak for 2 hours.

Q:

can I purchase this for my 10 year old boy? Would that be too challenging for him?

Salina Y.  asked on  May 3, 2012

A:

HI Salina, To be able to keep up with a group of adults would be very difficult for a ten year old child. You could use a double kayak, but the adult going with him would need to be physically fit and have some prior kayaking experience.
