The atmosphere, food and wine were all great. Oh, the waiter was also.

Good service. We have eaten at Harry Browne's many times, and for the first time, it was a "hit or miss". The bread served before dinner was dense and dry. I ordered the shrimp and scallops with risotto. The shrimp and scallops were very good. Well seasoned and cooked well. Unfortunately, the risotto was undercooked, to the point of "crunchy". Could not eat. My husband enjoyed the crab cakes, but deemed the hot potato salad "tasteless". Because of past experiences, we gave Harry Browne's 4 stars, not 3, and will return.

What You'll Get

The monopoly tycoons of the 19th century traditionally did their wheeling and dealing at fine-dining establishments, cleverly concealing the fact that they still lived with their parents. Enjoy a curfew-free culinary escape with today's Groupon to Harry Browne's in Annapolis. Choose between the following options:

  • For $25, you get $50 worth of fine American dining at dinner.
  • For $15, you get $30 worth of sandwiches and American dining at lunch.

Harry Browne's menu of fine seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and salads comes to life in an exquisite, historically vibrant setting. For dinner, diners can savor a pan-seared rockfish fillet that sits atop roasted fingerling potatoes next to sautéed crab and broccoli ($30), or slaver over locally sourced bone-in pork chops, grilled and served over barley pilaf and sautéed kale ($26). Above a bed of boursin-cheese potato galettes, the seared filet mignon conceals its tenderness with a jacket of bordelaise sauce and an eagle tattoo ($32). Lunchtime diners can feast their eye teeth on the Philibuster roast-beef sandwich on ciabatta with melted provolone and a vegetable medley ($11) or dive into a bowl of shrimp, scallops, and fresh fish bathed in lobster jus with Yovanni's seafood stew ($18), brought to a simmer by Yovanni's sweet crooning.

Guests at Harry Browne's immerse themselves in history amid a hammered tin ceiling, Louis Icart prints, and windows looking out on the Maryland State House. Diners have the option take their meal outside to the patio, which eschews candles for the romantic glimmer of lightning.
