About A Chat with Dan Hartig Guitar Lessons
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
With various teaching and performance experiences all over New York and Philadelphia, I have a handful of teaching methods to fit the needs of all students. I have a bachelors degree in jazz guitar performance and a masters degree in music education from Columbia University, Teachers College.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
I provide lesson handouts, guitar picks and manuscript paper. It is recommended that students bring their own guitar to the lessons. My handouts include chord voicings, theory and notation, visuals with explanations of the parts of the guitar and various technical skills.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I love creating opportunities through which students learn an instrument in a fun, engaging way. I always feel great when I help a students discover hidden talents and the joy of instrument playing!
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping students get to the point where they can simply pick up an instrument and play a variety of songs. Many of my students go on to form bands with their friends or begin writing songs. The best part is to see them develop their skills over time.
