This intensive daylong course is held at a Cambridge bar from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A professional bartender leads a session on TIPS intervention and safety training—an essential skill for bartenders—as well as hands-on mixology training. Burgeoning shakers and stirrers learn to set up bars and make basic, eye-catching drinks. Though the class certifies students in TIPS, it is not a vocational certification or a license to practice medicine.
