Not a place for african American people, extremely uncomfortable environment a lot of Confederate flags we were literally the only african American people insight getting nasty. Looks people being rude to us because of the color of outstand.

It was just ok. The guide seemed more interested in telling us stories about his own life than ghosts. Regardless, it entertained our kids for an hour or so.

The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is we only paid $9 per person, but that was still too much for what it was. Our guide kept telling us it wasn’t a history lesson and then proceeded to give us a history lesson. There was a child in our group (maybe 8 or so) which would have been fine except our guide made it all about this kid (his family might have rated this a 5 since it was like their own personal show). Even our guide’s lantern was fake, with drawings of flames instead of a real candle or even an electric light. As my niece said: Hip, Hip, boo (and not the scary type of boo).

I was a little worried that it would be too scary for my children, but it was fine. We basically walked around the area and heard stories about different areas and buildings we passed, granted they were creepy but not too scary. We didn’t go into any buildings but we knew that in advance. We learned a lot of amazing history on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about so many things. He was able to answer all of our questions. I found out too late (we were leaving town) that they have more than one tour. I would have done another one if we had time. Well done. I would recommend.

About Haunted Gettysburg Ghost Tours

If The History Channel, The Travel Channel, and A&E rave about someone, they can know they're doing something right. That's the case for Haunted Gettysburg Ghost Tours. The company, which has been featured on multiple TV shows, embraces its storied location, leading visitors on candlelit walks through the burg's streets and alleyways. Along each jaunt, narrators share tales of the paranormal history behind the cemeteries that dot the town and keep ghost hunters in the business.
