Health Source Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab of Stockton merges the techniques of chiropractors, licensed massage therapists, and personal trainers in attempts to treat recurring pain and strengthen points of weakness in the body. Far-infrared-sauna treatments replicate the soothing warmth of sunlight without risking its harmful ultraviolet rays or the risk of the spine growing in a twisted spiral toward the nearest light source. Therapeutic heat seeps into tense muscle groups, aiming to unwind knots and release toxins from the skin through the sweat glands. Sauna therapy also tries to keep the epidermis toned by increasing oxygen flow to the cells, and control weight by reducing moisture and salt retention. While unwinding in the wellness booth, clients ride down a river of sound flowing from stereo speakers that channel tunes from compact discs, radios, or the daydreams of nearby concert pianists. Reading lights assist when perusing magazine articles, and an oxygen ionizer purifies the air.

About Health Source Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab of Stockton
As both a doctor and an athlete, Robert Shapiro has worked for years to understand how the two fields connect. Recently certified as a chiropractic sports practitioner, the doctor enjoys practicing muay thai kickboxing and cycling in his spare time, and he was active in judo competitions, Brazilian jujitsu tournaments, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle auditions. After attending both Logan College of Chiropractic and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Shapiro participated in a long list of postgraduate trainings, ranging from restorative endocrinology to Russian kettlebell rehab. He draws on both sides of his experience to guide the staff at Health Source Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab of Stockton, where they combine massage therapy, rehabilitation, and chiropractic care to help their clients get healthy and stay that way.
