What You'll Get
The kitchen is statistically the most dangerous room in a home because it contains the highest concentration of knives, open flames, and pots full of semi-living lobsters. Learn to cook in safety with today's Groupon to Heirloom Catering. Choose from the following options:
- For $75, you get a Valentine's Day couple's cooking class (a $150 value).
- For $45, you get a cooking class of your choice (a $95 value).
- For $15, you get a Coca-Cola cake or a blueberry pound cake (a $35 value).
During Heirloom Catering's hands-on cooking classes, aspiring epicureans can arm their culinary artillery with Italian, Cajun, and Asian cuisine know-how. In each class, participants learn essential techniques and recipe development from seasoned chef Ryan Cutchins, who has more than 15 years of experience across the U.S. The Valentine's Day couple’s cooking course pairs amorous affection with a deftly assembled meal. Participants are encouraged to BYOB, though a complimentary glass of wine is included, leading lovers to finish their food with a swig and finish each other's sentences with a preposition. Couple's classes, available February 11–16, begin at 7 p.m. and last approximately two hours. Each cooking session is small enough to provide students with plenty of one-on-one instruction and oxygen. After the class, studious gourmands will be treated to the perfectly diced fruits of their labor, a recipe card, and an opportunity to sign up for future classes at a discount. Check the class schedule for available topics and times.
Ready-made foodies can also pick up a freshly baked Coca-Cola cake or a deliciously nonmetric blueberry pound cake to take home for Valentine's Day sharing or March Madness fits of hysteria.
