About Hidden Villa
Unlike most farms, Hidden Villa doesn't just harvest produce and raise livestock. The staff uses its 1,600-acre oasis in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains to educate about the environment and social justice. This community-minded legacy stretches all the way back to 1924, when Josephine and Frank Duveneck first purchased the land. Throughout the course of the 20th Century, the Duvenecks helped to form the region's first hostel and set up its first multiracial summer camp. Today, their legacy lives on as 30,000 people participate in the farm's events annually, and another 20,000 come simply to enjoy the land's natural splendor. Hidden Villa is a great place for picnics, hiking, learning about and experiencing the outdoors, meeting farm animals, spending time with family, and so much more.
