Q&A with Steven Ellis, Owner/leader
What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?
Our hikers often become friends with other hikers and with the leadership. We often end our hikes by sharing a meal together at a local restaurant.
As the old adage says, "Stuff happens." What training do you and your staff have to stay ahead of the unexpected?
Boy Scout and Royal Ranger Camping, Red Cross First Aid Certification, and hiking training. We also have 30+ years of photography experience, and a record of leading over 100 safely guided adventures.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
As the owner of this service and as the leader of fifty-plus safe hikes, I've seen how hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains brings happiness, relaxation, and joy to so many people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities—in effect bringing all humanity together.
