What You'll Get
Like hairstyles, fitness routines need to be changed once in a while to avoid growing stale and getting stuffed under a hat. Shake up your workout with today's Groupon: for $45, you get five fitness classes at Hip Studio in Hermosa Beach (a $125 value).
Hip's team of certified Pilates instructors guides students through ever-changing workouts to help reform muscles and keep students engaged in their fitness goals. The studio’s robust schedule of integrated fitness classes gets hearts of all fitness levels pumping in classes such as the 50-minute signature high-intensity Pilates workout, where students move to burn calories and sculpt bodies on high-tech HIPformer Pilates machines. As upbeat music thrums along in the background, classes of fitness-minded, stretch-pantsed students work through a series of traditional Pilates moves, weight training, and cardio intervals help create flexible, toned skeleton suits.
Trampolines, suspension-training tools, and resistance bands confuse both muscles and out-of-practice circus clowns during Hip's bag of tricks sweat session, and barre fusion employs ballet-inspired steps to sculpt legs into human-launching implements. Fiery Zumba classes welcome students of all fitness levels to move their feet, hips, and rapidly shrinking derrieres to Latin-inspired beats during an easy-to-follow dance and resistance-training workout.

About HIP Studio
Not every Pilates studio has custom-built reformers named after it. HIP Studio, on the other hand, order their HIPformers from local builders, who construct the machines to be extra-durable, easily repaired, and eco-conscious, primarily composing the frames of recycled wood. While they make plenty of use of their original equipment, they also teach more than just Pilates. They incorporate trampolines, ballet barres, TRX suspension harnesses, and punching bags into ten different fitness classes. All of their innovative sessions take place in their sunny, hardwood-floored studio. Aside from facilitating eye-pleasure, the elegant hardwood flooring conceals a layer of cork that absorbs shock and cushions joints. Dynamic sound systems keep high-energy music pumping through the studio, and broadcasts beats to every corner of the space at equal volume.
