About Historic Blakeley State Park
Nestled inside 2,100 acres of pristine wilderness, the Blakeley State Park provides families with time outdoors while also giving them the chance to experience the area's rich cultural history. History buffs can enjoy the historic town of Blakeley, one of Alabama's oldest and the site of Alabama's largest Civil War battle.
The park also offers plenty of recreational activities outdoors. Mother-nature enthusiasts can explore the park's 16 miles of trail by foot, bike, or even horseback before setting up camp at the numerous tent and RV camping spots. To cut through the heart of the park, guests can wind down the Mobile-Tensaw Delta by boat and see the diverse ecosystem of alligators, turtles, bald eagles, and even a rare black bear sighting.
