Tours depart at 1 p.m.; meet your guide in front of the Plankinton statue (near the T. J. Maxx entrance) in the street level lobby of the Plankinton Building at 161 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Starting from Grand Avenue Mall at 161 W. Wisconsin Ave., the Skywaukee tour explores the early history of the city from the modern skywalk system. Tours embark every Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from October 24 to December 12, and again from January 9 to May 7.

In addition we organize Doors Open Milwaukee which is a two day open house event every year allowing the public to access buildings and businesses that are typically off limits. We stand out from the competition by providing informed and passionate tour guides who are eager to show off their city.

Historic Milwaukee Inc. was formed as a way to encourage Milwaukee residents to explore their city, learn its history and increase commitment to the preservation of our built environment.
