During Prohibition, bootleggers made their own booze by burying grapes underground or catching moonbeams in a jar of water. Obtain alcohol the easy way with today's Groupon: for $12, you get $25 worth of pub fare and pours at HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern, located on Piedmont Avenue in Midtown. The second culinary effort by brothers Sean and Gilbert Yeremyan, HOBNOB is a community-focused restaurant and bar complete with candlelight and rich wood tables. Social and satiating, the tavern features a menu lined with southern-inspired comfort food, including mac 'n' cheese ($6.95), lamb burgers ($11.95), and hearty portions of pot roast ($13.95). And, as long as they say "please" or "pretty ponies," gracious guests can easily order a pour from the venerable list of craft beers, house-infused vodkas, and wine. Brunch is served Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There is complimentary valet parking on Monroe Drive during brunch, lunch, and dinner. Do not park in the Clear Creek Shopping Center lot directly behind the restaurant; cars parked in this lot will be booted.
