Resting in the shadows of Comerica Park and Ford Field, Hockeytown Cafe has become a gathering spot for Detroit sports fans whether it's game day or not. Wall-to-wall memorabilia and other iconic symbols occupy just about every inch of the three-story space, with motorcycles hanging from the walls alongside framed jerseys and photos. Any space that is left is taken up by more than 30 HD-TVs, which light up with images from Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, and Lions games.
While the games play out, friends sip more than 50 beers from around the world—including 18 on tap—and dig into plates of pub-style food. This includes baked mac 'n cheese topped with pulled pork and Boss Hog burgers piled high with pork, bacon, and crispy onion straws. After patrons have fueled up, Hockeytown Cafe transports them to Red Wings home games via free shuttle service, meaning fans never have to strap on their skates and glide there themselves.
