John F. Hogan Jr. was a consistent man. He had been clocking in to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s corporate office in Akron each day for more than 25 years, learning the ins and outs of its tires. Then, in 1984, he made a slight change. He decided to move to Virginia, open Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto, and share his knowledge of Goodyear’s tires there. Since then, his business has grown right along with his family—there are now eight locations and many more Hogans. All of the full-service automotive shops have complimentary shuttles and, of course, Goodyear tires. The full-service auto repair shop is staffed by continually trained ASE-certified technicians, who swap out motor oil, realign wheels, inspect brakes, and teach air-conditioning units how to whistle during maintenance and repair services. They service all makes and models and include a 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on all their work.
