Once we got to the hotel (We first went to A different Holiday Inn) the process was quick and easy. I don’t know if KCI has limited drop off at the airport, but we were left at the Rental Car area and then taken by very crowded bus to our airline terminal.
Airport parking at Holiday Inn Express worked seamlessly for my family of 4. I did call and make a reservation for the shuttle in advance as other reviews recommended. The shuttle drivers were very nice and on time. This was a nice departure from the Economy parking lot and long waits for buses. We would definitely be using HIE parking again!
The whole scenario should be perfect. Insist on a reservation. I called when I purchased the Groupon for the required reservation. I was told I didn’t need a reservation. We arrived early and were told the shuttle was full. We had to wait for the next shuttle. The driver told us this has happened the last two weekends. Not his fault. Luckily we had enough time to catch our flight.
We arrived at the hotel at 4:15 AM. When we checked in they asked when we were returning. I told them 11:30 AM on Thursday the 20th. They told me they couldn't pick us up because the guy who drives the shuttle has a second job to go to. But at 4:15 in the morning we didn't have time to make other reservations. When I called the morning of to make other plans they didn't know what was going on.
I usually park somewhere else when I fly but they've gotten ridiculously expensive. This was a great experience. I pulled in and parked, went to the front desk and filled out a couple of forms. The driver was waiting for me and whisked me off to the airport. Returning to get my car was just as easy. I will definitely use them in the future!
