Holistic or, whole-being care approaches and treats the mind, body and spirit. The experience with Mara may include sound offerings with the use of Tibetan singing bowls or tuning forks; energy balancing using energetic Shiatsu; Gua-sha technique; nutritional suggestions (always included with the preliminary interview); exercises and stretches as well as meditation/ relaxation guidance. All may be selected individually or incorporated into massage therapy sessions for an additional charge.
Massage is an ancient form of treatment that began over 1,000 years ago in China. It became modernized in the West during the 1800’s with the introduction of Swedish massage developed by a physiotherapist. These modalities are divided as Eastern and Western approaches to healing.
Mara combines knowledge from her studies of both Oriental and Western modalities into her massage therapy sessions.
