Q:

When are these intro classes being offered and will we be learning on actual people and practicing or just getting information about how to massage? Thanks!

Lindsay  asked on  Mar 13, 2012

A:

Hi Lindsay: You will be learning with actual people (giving and receiving massage). There is additional information on our website: http://holisticmassagetraining.org/CommunitySeminars.htm#Intro to Massage. I have copied the info for you here: Introduction to Massage Have you wondered how to give a massage without getting tired or how to control the effects of stress and tension? Come join us in this hands-on class. Techniques for hand, foot, and back will be covered. Each person will have the opportunity to give and receive massage. You will leave the class relaxed and refreshed! You have your choice of the following dates/times: Wednesday ~ 5:30 to 7:30 pm or 7:45 to 9:45 pm; Tuesday ~ 2:30 to 4:30 pm; Friday ~ 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Q:

Is the couples massage class for two people to learn how to massage each other?

Susan K.  asked on  Mar 13, 2012

A:

Yes, exactly -- although of course the knowledge can be used to massage anyone, not just your partner.

Q:

Does this mean that massage school students will perform massages on us? Or that we will be the students who are learning to perform the massages?

Elizabeth L.  asked on  Mar 13, 2012

A:

Hi Elizabeth! You will be the students learning how to perform the massages. We also have what is called "student massage clinic" where our massage school students perform massages on members of the public; however, that has nothing to do with this Groupon offer. This Groupon offer is for our "Community Seminars" where we teach the basic of Massage and/or Acupressure. The Community Seminars that make up the Groupon offer are all taught by our faculty here, who are highly skilled massage therapists and highly skilled educators. Thank you for your inquiry. We hope to see you!
