They closed down the spa area without our knowledge. We left the same day we arrived. The place is in an area with very little around it. I wouldn't go until the spa opens up again at the very least! There is nothing else to do in the area. The manager was also very difficult, she wouldn't even talk to me on the phone when I was leaving and she/he gave Groupon misinformation about why we left. They also promised a room with a view, then put us in a room with a terrible view. They did not make things right. I had to have multiple conversations with Groupon to get my money back. The manager's/owner's website is better looking than the actual place is, the doors on the rooms look like hospital room doors. Going there and coming right back home ruined our chances of having a vacation, period. Do NOT spend your money on this place. When we went, the place was a ghost town.

People often do things in hotels that they would never do in their own homes, such as sleep soundly, watch Marley and Me, or let the kids drink as much shampoo as they want. Let loose with today’s Groupon: for $69, you get a one-night stay at Honor’s Haven Resort and Spa (up to a $169 value).

Honor’s Haven sprawls out across 250 acres of Ulster County, nestled cozily between the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains. The four-season resort boasts 235 guest rooms, a banquet hall, and a variety of wellness activities. Guests can spend a relaxing night in a cozy deluxe room that encapsulates either one king-size bed or two doubles spaced far enough apart for indoor stunt work. Decorated with warm neutrals and gold accents, the 286-square-foot room offers modern comforts, such as surf-ready TV and wireless Internet, plus timeless perks including large windows that overlook the resort’s rolling golf course.

Sleepovers at Honor’s Haven Resort allow active guests to do more than simply sleep and order room service. Staffers extend myriad leisure activities and access to pristine facilities including a fitness center, outdoor pool, and recliner-laden movie room. Overnight slumberers can also get aquatic in the spa’s indoor pool, jacuzzi, or dry sauna, or take advantage of the resort’s free yoga and tai-chi classes, which prep both body and mind for traversing the area’s many hiking trails. Golf, horseback riding, and additional spa services are also available for additional fees.

Though meals are not included with the room, guests can partake in the resort’s on-site dining and recharge via elegant sit-down meals, buffet-style feasts, or billiard-supplemented sips in the casual and cozy lounge.
