Ten of the most talented jazz artists in town take the stage at the Hopkins Center for the Arts for a night of straight-ahead, swinging jazz. Led by sax man Pete Whitman and featuring pianist Laura Caviani, the X-tet's a Twin Cities staple who've been jamming together since '01. Their eclectic sound comes from a repertoire made up of mostly original compositions by Whitman and other band members. In fact, they're set to premiere four new tunes at this much-anticipated gig. Come early for a social hour and enjoy included hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
