What You'll Get
Like cheese, classical music is best enjoyed when in string form. Snack on the sounds of cultured compositions with today's Groupon: for $30, you get four tickets to see one Festival Symphony Orchestra concert or "Piano-Mania!" during the Hot Springs Music Festival at the Hot Springs Fieldhouse (a $60 value). Today’s Groupon is valid for concerts on the following dates:
Festival Symphony Orchestra (all symphony shows begin at 7:30 p.m., with a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m.)
- Tuesday, June 7
- Sunday, June 12
- Wednesday, June 15
- Saturday, June 18
- Saturday, June 11, 7:30 p.m.
With more than 20,000 attendees last year, the 16th annual Hot Springs Music Festival again aims to captivate and enrich thousands with the melodic talents of more than 250 international note-wranglers, uniting mentor musicians from major orchestras, chamber ensembles, and conservatory faculties with talented apprentices. From general-admission seats within the acoustic expanses of the Hot Springs Fieldhouse, spectators attune to the incoming harmonies of the Festival Symphony Orchestra’s illustrious renditions of timeless works. Sweep through the evocative exoticism of Saint-Säens’ "Bacchanale" from Samson and Delilah on June 7; join the festival’s chorus for Mendelssohn’s Elijah, op. 70, on June 12; or reap the swag of Beethoven Wig Night during a performance of his Symphony no. 2 in D, op. 36, on June 15. Concert-goers may check the festival website for a complete schedule of symphony pieces.
Audiences can also tap into 88 keys of insanity with “Piano-Mania!”, as award-winning piano mentor Michael Gurt and his apprentices tickle the ivories, imaginations, and whoever’s sitting in Row F, Seat 15.
