What You'll Get
People often do things in hotels that they would never do in their own homes, such as sleep soundly, watch Marley and Me, or let the kids drink as much shampoo as they want. Let loose with today's Groupon to Hotel Pattee in Perry. Choose from the following options:
- For $119, you get a one-night stay in a standard room, a wine tasting and tour for two, two hours of unlimited bowling, a two-hour bocce-ball rental, and $20 toward breakfast at David's Milwaukee Diner (up to a $289 total value).
- For $139, you get a one-night stay in a premiere room, a wine tasting and tour for two, two hours of unlimited bowling, a two-hour bocce-ball rental, and $20 toward breakfast at David's Milwaukee Diner (up to a $329 total value).
- For $169, you get a one-night stay in a suite, a wine tasting and tour for two, two hours of unlimited bowling, a two-hour bocce-ball rental, and $20 toward breakfast at David's Milwaukee Diner (up to a $350 total value).
The Hotel Pattee's 40 themed rooms celebrate historical contributions to midwestern life and swathe guests in comfort. Standard stayers can pass notes in the Alton School room, and a space celebrating Japanese culture greets premiere guests, and the aura of Louis Armstrong resides in a New Orleans–inspired suite room. After absorbing roomy historical ambiance, face off for two hours of friendly competition at the Arthur "Oley" Olson Bowling Alley, located on the hotel grounds, as well as two hours of bocce ball.
Guided by oenological experts, tours at Snus Hill Winery ramble through a generations-old homestead, rolling field, and cellar before returning to the tasting room for sips of 10 different wines. Bottles and other merchandise can accompany Groupon customers home at a 25% discount after a quick round of goodbyes to their favorite vines. Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons welcome tasters to stay on and enjoy live outdoor music.
Stays conclude with a breakfast at David's Milwaukee Diner, where dining rooms bedecked in railroad paraphernalia provide a backdrop to a menu of morning fare. Fuel up on cinnamon-dusted french toast ($5.25), ballooned in directly from France, or stay until Sunday to visit the breakfast buffet's plethora of griddle and skillet creations ($12.95 for adults, $9.95 for seniors, $6.95 for kids under 12).
