About House of Crawfish and Seafood
House of Crawfish and Seafood started in Chef Nick's backyard, where family and friends would gather for a huge crawfish boil. Nick knew that he had a nose for the rich, spicy flavors of Southern cooking, and soon he transferred all the fun and fresh seafood of his backyard labor of love into a bona fide restaurant. Today, diners visit the warm, inviting restaurant for its affordable regional dishes, which range from popular crab cakes and sweet-potato fries to undeniably Southern hush puppies and alligator nuggets. The menu hosts a spate of po’ boy sandwiches stuffed to the gills with flavorful fried oysters or tender battered-catfish fillets. True to its New Orleans inspiration, the menu also features a few Mardi Gras specials—enormous sampler plates of seafood, such as the Atchafalaya combo with crawfish, shrimp, clams, and mussels boiled in a Cajun sauce and the Fisherman's Wharf seafood bucket with lobster, king-crab legs, a whole dungeness crab, and an old-timey fisherman to help map out a sufficiently authentic feasting strategy.
