What You'll Get
The acclaimed chamber ensemble House of Time has built on its solid New York fan base by constructing an inventive repertoire of 17th- through 20th-century music, performed on period instruments. Their latest concert at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, dubbed Transalpine Journey, takes you on a true musical trip from Italy to Austria with pieces by Scarlatti, Vivaldi and Biber, accompanied by the dynamic young violinist Aisslinn Nosky. Now in its impressive third season, the five-member House of Time features faculty and graduates of Juilliard, along with international competition winners, and includes violinist Tatiana Daubek, oboist Gonzalo X. Ruiz, cellist Paul Dwyer, violist Beiliang Zhu and harpsichordist Avi Stein.
There’s a wine-and-cheese reception following the show.
