HRCA Backcountry Wilderness
Away from the bustle of development, HRCA Backcountry Wilderness area provides 8,200 acres of serene wilderness to be enjoyed by humans and wildlife alike. It's a place for solitude or group activities. There are more than 20 miles of trails for hiking and biking, plus accommodations for camping, archery, and hunting. For more structured activity, HRCA's hour-long guided horseback rides welcome the uninitiated as well as expert equestrians to explore the ranch's winding paths. Along the way, visitors may encounter elk, eagles, and prairie dogs scurrying to gather food or hang their laundry. Visitors can also enjoy horse-drawn hayrides that tour the tranquil wildlife sanctuary of the back country wilderness.
