Get ready for a double dose of comedy as the Huntington Beach Playhouse presents two one-act classics: Box & Cox and A Pair of Lunatics. Called “the best farce of the nineteenth century” by The New York Times, Box & Cox centers on two men who unwittingly both live in the same apartment. One occupies the room during the day, the other at night. This classic farce was later adapted into a comic opera by Arthur Sullivan (of Gilbert & Sullivan fame). The second play, A Pair of Lunatics, has a similarly outlandish premise: A young man and woman, both visiting the local insane asylum, mistake each other for inmates. Catch all the hilarity at the Huntington Beach Central Library Theater.
