SAT/ACT Crash Course -- 10 hours with One-to-One Tutor
Do you need a quick crash course to prepare for the test on a budget? This is a great deal for a student who has already taken the test and knows where they need the most help.
Spend 10 hours one-to-one with an expert, caring and motivating certified Huntington Tutor. We can adjust your 10 hours depending on what you need most - test taking strategies, math, science, reading comprehension or writing.
Available either Online or In-Center.

Welcome to Huntington Learning Center, the tutoring & SAT/ACT prep service in the Capital Region. Our results speak for themselves! Tutoring students average a 2 grade level increase after about 60 days, depending on the frequency of sessions. Our SAT students average a 248 point increase, and ACT students a 5.3 point increase.
Why are Huntington students so successful? Because we have developed a proven system over the last 43 years that includes an individualized plan, custom tailored to the needs of each student. We start with a very detailed academic evaluation so we can identify each student's academic level and needs. This is an interactive process that takes between 2-4 hours, and a critical part of our success. We then custom build a plan that will work, depending on your student's goals. In addition to your tutor, a Director will be assigned to monitor and manage your child’s program to ensure expected progress is happening.
Our certified teachers aim to be very caring, and are trained to build motivation and confidence. Individualized plans and curriculum are designed specifically for each student. Most students actually look forward to coming because they enjoy the success and confidence!
We spend considerable resources recruiting, screening and training high quality tutors so you don’t have to. Our tutors are experts in their chosen field, including phonics, reading, writing, math, science, algebra, geometry, trig, calc, physics, biology, earth science, chemistry and many others. Our test prep programs include special emphasis on test taking strategies to maximize your score.
We work closely with the local school systems. With your permission, we will meet with your child’s school teacher to discuss the best way to help your child succeed. We meet regularly with parents to discuss progress and make adjustments as needed.
We have extended hours throughout the week, and make it easy to fit tutoring into your busy schedule!
