Q:

If I am looking to buy the package with One- to three-hour detailed academic evaluation and four hours of individualized tutoring, and don't sign up for any more sessions, will it be worth it? Or, is your program based on enrolling for the long term? Thanks.

Dawn K.  asked on  Sep 15, 2012

A:

It is a bargain to sign up for just the groupon offer. The evaluation will tell you how many hours of instruction your child may need.. The 4 hours of instruction will always be of benefit.

Q:

How does one decide if your child should prep for the ACT or the SAT. Which do most colleges accept?

alicia b.  asked on  Sep 15, 2012

A:

All High School Juniors take the ACT in Illinois as part of the PSAE in the spring, so it is much more common for students to prep for the ACT in our area. Virtually all colleges and universities accept the ACT. It may make sense to take the SAT if you are focused on a specific school that requires it. www.collegeboard.org and www.act.org are good resources to check if you are looking for a school's requirements. Or contact the directory at your nearest Huntington if you have questions. They would be glad to help.

Q:

For the ACT or SAT prep package, is the two hours of additional tutoring done at one time? Or will there be two, one hour sessions done at separate times? Thank you.

Margie M.  asked on  Sep 15, 2012

A:

Usually, it is two one hour sessions but you could do them together if you want.
