Q:

Hi! My question is you have personal bilingual for consultation ? Thanks you . Magela

Magela P.  asked on  Dec 29, 2012

A:

I am so sorry Magela but I don't have any interpretative services available. I wish I knew of someone in my profession who is multilingual so I could make a recommendation to you, but I don't. So sorry! Have a great day. Carol

Q:

my boyfriend and I would like to go together....should I buy the one 30-minute consulation with the 2 hyposis sessions for $79.?

Julie C.  asked on  Dec 28, 2012

A:

Hi Julie, great question! Although some hypnotists do group sessions (2 or more people) I feel strongly believe that results of the treatment are far less successful. Even if you and your boyfriend want to quit smoking for example, the triggers and beliefs you both have associated with smoking may be very different, meaning the hypnotic approach must be different. Each person then should have their own separate sessions and separate consultation. I also suggest the two session package for you both because for many a reinforcement session is likely needed if you are trying to change a long existing issue or habit. I would definitely invest in the 2 session for each of you so you both can have the individual attention you deserve. I hope this helps, have a great night...Carol

Q:

I have a 17 year old son who bites his nails terribly. Is this something that you have had success in curing?

danielle g.  asked on  Dec 27, 2012

A:

Hi Danielle, thank you for your great question! Hypnosis works wonderfully for eliminating bad habits of all kinds including nail biting. Our subconscious mind is where we store information like habits, skills we have learned and emotional information. During hypnosis we bypass the conscious mind and reach the subconcious directly where we can change the unwanted behavior. In addition to changing unwanted behaviors we are also able to augment positive habits and skills such as improving learned athletic skills, creative performance and other skill sets like study habits. Thanks again for your question, have a great day. Carol

Q:

If I have already tried hypnosis and it didnt seem to do anything does that mean I am not meant to pursue this kind of help?

Donna H.  asked on  Dec 26, 2012

A:

Hi Donna, Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that your initial experience of hypnosis didn't have the results you hoped for. Not knowing the specifics of your situation I am not sure why this may have been the case. I can tell you that depending upon the behavior change you wanted to create you may have needed more reinforcements for maximum results. For long term issues you will see changes initially but more change with reinforcement is best. Also if you tried a group session initially that approach tends to work for a percentage of participants but not for all. I would not "give-up" on hypnosis. Hypnosis has a wonderful track record of success, both clinically and in my practice and I use it frequently myself for everyday issues.I love the successful change it creates and the wonderful relaxation of the experience as well. I hope this helps, have a great day, Carol

Hi Donna, thank you for your question. This is a one on one session geared to the information I collect during our initial consultation (1/2 hr) via phone. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Have a great day, Carol
