Q:

Hi, me again. I realize this works for a lot of people, but not everybody. I've read about some people kicking bad habits and then a few months later, they start right back up. Can you briefly explain what are the biggest factors that lead to either success or failure, with hypnotherapy?

Jay L.  asked on  Oct 2, 2012

A:

Thanks for your question! Difficulty in entering trance is often based on a person’s misconceptions about hypnosis, prior negative experiences with hypnotism, or a hypnotist’s failure to find the method that works best for that person.
You can read more about hypnosis on the company's website here. If you have any additional questions, I suggest calling the business directly at (616) 550-3231.

Q:

I would like to try this to lose weight. I would like to lose around 10-15 pounds. Would this help with that, or only if I wanted to lose a significant amount of weight? Could this be done in one session?

Valerie K.  asked on  Oct 2, 2012

A:

Yes, even losing 10-15 pounds can be much easier with hypnosis. You might try just one session, it's a great kick start to your overall weight loss program.

Q:

this has always interested me, but am doubtful i can be hypnotized. what percentage of people can't be helped?

craig v.  asked on  Oct 1, 2012

A:

I believe anyone can be hypnotized who really wants to. Experience shows me that about 95% of all adults can easily enter into a state of hypnosis, which is a natural state of mind. 100% of people can be helped, even those who don't enter into hypnosis, they just get help in a different way.

Q:

I'm sure you recommend more than one, but what is the success rate for common issues like smoking, public speaking, anger management, from just one 60-90 min session? How deep can the rabbit hole go, in just one hypnosis?

Jay L.  asked on  Sep 28, 2012

A:

Actually Jay, many things can be handled in a single session (smoking and phobias) for example. But, as you say, that rabbit hole can be pretty deep, and many people want to explore it more fully.

Q:

I am interested in weight loss- is more than one session necessary or recommended for the same issue?

D. B.  asked on  Sep 28, 2012

A:

For weight loss, depending on the amount of weight you would like to lose, I recommend between 3 and 6 sessions.

Q:

If just one hypnotherapy session is purchased, will it just be a "getting to know you" as the patient session, or would we actually be diving into hypnosis, to address issues, because I am not sure if purchasing 3 session is smart if I have never tried this before?

Sydney K.  asked on  Sep 28, 2012

A:

That's hard to answer. For many issues, we can deal with it in one session (smoking and phobias are good examples here), while other more emotionally complex issues take time to build rapport so the first session would include that "getting to know you" piece, along with a short trance just so you know what to expect. If you want to call and tell me a little more about what you want to work on, I can make a better recommendation as to how many sessions to purchase.
